Matt Herzfeld is a Los Angeles-based music artist and producer manager with extensive experience in the A&R and music catalog transaction and entertainment deal advisory space. After leaving a role sourcing catalog sales and placing creative opportunities across the contemporary and catalog worlds for artists and writers at Primary Wave, Matt founded Seasons Music Group in 2022 with a broad focus on bespoke management services across all levels and genres of talent in the music world and advisory and brokering services across all sizes, right and royalty types, ages, genres, and territories of IP and royalty transactions.
As a talent manager, Matt has signed or repped artists on publishers and labels like Columbia, Sony, Kobalt, UMPG, Virgin and beyond and initiated creative campaigns in the catalog and contemporary music spheres with A list talent and billboard-charting results. Separately, Matt has a growing music catalog advisory business working with well over 150 buyers, publishers, labels, distributors, funds, and individuals with whom he's faciliated over $200 million of catalog deals for some of the most successful artists, songwriters, and producers of all time.
Some of the deals matt has been involved in sourcing include Dan Wilson & Semisonic ("Closing Time" "Someone Like You" by Adele), Steve Kipner ("Physical" by Olivia Newton John, "Breakeven" by the Script and "Genie in a Bottle), Regent and Jewel Music Publishing ("Apache / Jump on It" "Do you Hear What I Hear?" "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus", Django Reinhardt, Bennie Goodman, etc), Sturken & Rogers (1/5 master royalty stake in Rihanna's first 7 albums), Tom Whitlock (“Danger Zone” aka Top Gun Theme and “Take My Breath Away”by Berlin) and Bing Crosby.
Prior to Primary Wave, Matt worked in roles with labels at Arista and Island Records. He also worked on the cusp of the American and French music industries as a Project Manager for French Embassy’s Music Export Office in New York. Matt graduated from McGill University in Montreal, studying Jazz Guitar Performance and English Literature + Cultural Studies.
A former New Yorker fluent in English and French, Matt lives in the Beachwood section of Los Angeles with his Russian Blue cat Shelley Duvall and their amateur but growing collection of visual art. He spends a significant amount of time working in and sourcing opportunities with the music communities in Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, New York, London and beyond.
Henry Giancarlo, a 25-year-old with a passion for music, technology, and cultural exploration, stands at the intersection of lived-experience and academic achievement. Henry has lived in both Asia and Europe, and his travel photography has been featured in various art galleries and academic journals.
In 2021, Henry graduated from Brown University, where he honed his analytical skills and earned a degree in Economics. During this time, Henry began drumming for a touring alt-rock band. He co-wrote, produced, mixed, and mastered of a full-length, album. Ultimately driven by an interest in Chinese culture and literature, Henry moved to Scotland and pursued a Master’s degree in Chinese literature – further showcasing a dedication to language, culture, and the arts.
Prior to his role at Seasons Music Group, Henry spent time working in the highly technical world of Web-3. Recognizing the transformative potential of blockchain technology, he lent his skills to an early-stages, artist-led NFT initiative. Henry's contributions to this space underscore his commitment to emerging technologies and artists’ needs.
