Seasons Music Group is an entertainment deal advisory boutique founded by Matt Herzfeld (former Primary Wave, Seeker, Island Records, Arista Records), based in New York with particular expertise in valuing and brokering sales of music IP and royalties.
Having sat on all sides of the table—in-house at funds, labels, and publishers, plus years of consulting—we've watched countless deals lose momentum simply because investment teams were forced to waste time untangling messy, fragmented royalty data.
Seasons Music started with a goal to solve that exact problem and bring clean, actionable opportunities to our network. We partner with platforms like RYLTY to handle the heavy lifting of data aggregation and rights diligence upfront, meaning by the time a package hits a prospective buyer’s desk, it’s standardized, tech-forward, and ready for serious review.
We have developed lasting relationships and closed countless deals across a deep network of over 200 companies, individuals, and funds engaged in music catalog acquisition, securitization, advances, loans, company sales, joint ventures, and traditional publishing and recording deals.
We work with artists, writers, estates, publishers, producers, joint ventures, managers, and actors to provide the best possible deal for your rights or royalties. No deal is too big or small.
Streams of income we help monetize include:
To date, we’ve facilitated over 250 million USD in deals across nearly every genre and territory. A few notable recent ones include:
